As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

(1)  If your gold jewellery is 87.48 grams and one year has passed over the jewellery from the time it was given to you, then you have to give 2.5 percent of the value of the jewellery as Zakaah. [1]

(2)  Zakaah is due on the money deposited in the bank. Zakaah will be given on the total amount at the end of the Zakaah year.

(3)  Zakaah is not due on personal homes.

(4)  Rental payable is deducted from your Zakatable assets.
