Question Summary:
What is (Alam Arwa) world of souls?

Question Detail:

Before this world I have heard that there was a world name ( Aalam Arwa ) world of souls. Where all the souls were gathered and they were asked that who is your RAB and all of them said ALLAH. And now with the passage of time one by one all of them are coming to this world.
 
My Questions are
 
Are new souls are being prepared who miss that gathering before the start of world.
 
If not then that means whom soul has been made will come in this in all the cases to this world, nobody can stop his/her soul.  Mean there is no benefit of family planning ……
 
 

Answer :

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
 
 
Allah Ta’ala says,
وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ مِنْ ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قَالُوا بَلَى شَهِدْنَا أَنْ تَقُولُوا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هَذَا غَافِلِينَ
Translation: When your Rabb extracted from the backs of the children of Aadam and called them to witness over themselves saying, “Am I not your Rabb?” They replied, “Certainly! We testify to it.” So that they do not on the day of Qiyaamh, “indeed we were unaware of this.” [7:172]
The above verse is clear that Allah Ta’ala took a submission from every soul in ‘Aalam Arwah which was to come in this world.
Every single soul that was present in ‘Aalam Arwaah will definitely come into existence in this world. That is the taqdeer (predestination) of Allah Ta’ala. Indeed, the ultimate outcome of family planning is also from taqdeer. Family planning cannot change taqdeer.
Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) is reported to have said,
مَا كَتَبَ اللهُ خَلْقَ نَسَمَةٍ هِيَ كَائِنَةٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ، إِلَّا سَتَكُونُ
Translation: For every soul that is to be born up to the Day of Qiyamah shall be born. [i]

[i] وحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالُوا: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي رَبِيعَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَأَبُو صِرْمَةَ عَلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، فَسَأَلَهُ أَبُو صِرْمَةَ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ، هَلْ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَذْكُرُ الْعَزْلَ؟ فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَزْوَةَ بَلْمُصْطَلِقِ، فَسَبَيْنَا كَرَائِمَ الْعَرَبِ، فَطَالَتْ عَلَيْنَا الْعُزْبَةُ، وَرَغِبْنَا فِي الْفِدَاءِ، فَأَرَدْنَا أَنْ نَسْتَمْتِعَ وَنَعْزِلَ، فَقُلْنَا: نَفْعَلُ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِنَا لَا نَسْأَلُهُ، فَسَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ «لَا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ لَا تَفْعَلُوا، مَا كَتَبَ اللهُ خَلْقَ نَسَمَةٍ هِيَ كَائِنَةٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ، إِلَّا سَتَكُونُ

[مسلم رقم الحديث 1438]

 

خلق نسمة إلخ: النسمة...هى النفس اى ما من نفس قدر كونها الا وهى تكون سواء عزلتم او لا اي ما قدر وجوده لا يمنعه العزل.

هي كائنة إلى يوم القيامة إلخ: اى نقديرا... إلا ستكون اى: وجودا
