Question Summary: Taking money without permission Question Detail:
Following my last message about my uncle, he just said to me i forgive you, i don't think he wants the money back because he would have said so. I said to him i had taking money from you that you didnt know about and i said can you forgive me and he said yes i forgive you I think he said don't do it again , i'm not sure i am not sure if i have to return the moeny back or not. i find it hard to keep brining this up infront of him because i feel ashamed What do you think i should do? would asking Allah will be sufficient enough for me to be forgiven, i'm feeling scared
Answer :
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullahi wa-barakatuh. If you told your uncle that you took money from him and he forgave you specifically for that, then you will be absolved of your responsibility and you do not have to return the money to him. However, you may purchase a gift equivalent to the money that you took from him and present it to him if you wish to feel satisfied.
