Answer :
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. Your zeal and enthusiasm to follow the Sunnah is a sign of your love for Deen and Rasulullah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam). The overall Sunnah of Nikah is to be simple. There is no restrictions of time in performing a Nikah. As soon as one is in a position to marry, he may marry irrespective of the day and month. The Sahaba (Radhiyallahu ‘Anhum) loved Rasulullah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) and followed his Sunnah very closely. However, they did not choose to marry specifically on the days Rasulullah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) married. Furthermore, Rasulullah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) married many times on different days and months of the year. Therefore, if you want to practice on Sunnah, whenever you are ready to marry then go ahead and perform Nikah. Furthermore, the Walimah of Rasulullah (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) were small and simple. One should avoid the following un-Islamic practices that are found in marriages today. Such practices deprives barakah and blessing in one’s Nikah. - To incur debts in order to have a grand and luxurious wedding. - To think that one's respect will be lost if one does not hold an extravagant wedding and invite many people. - Customs which are contrary to the teachings and laws of Shariah. - Intermingling of the opposite genders. - Music. - Photography. - Missing of Salaah.
