Question Summary: Sins committed due to Sihr Question Detail:
Im 16, yet I did so many mistakes. When my relatives visited me, I think my aunt did sihr on me. I bvecame lethargic, angry and almost insane. I displayed all the symptoms of sihr. I commited sins, such as losing my temper, and disobeying my mother. I am ashamed. If my aunt ( I know it was my aunt), had never did sihr on me, I would had never made so many mistakes and sins. I was influenced by magic. Does the sind and disobediennce I commited under sihr count against me???? My mind was foggy, and I felt like hell. I heard these voices in my head. I heard ruqia sharia and it went away and I felt like scfreaming.
Answer :
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. You are young and Alhamdulillah conscious of your wrongs. That is a sign of the flame of Iman burning in you. May Allah strengthen your Iman and grant you the sweetness of Iman. Ameen. We understand the emotional trauma and imbalances caused by sihr (magic). While you feel guilty of the sins caused under the possible spell of sihr and you enquire about that, we wish to advise you to avoid compounding the sin through making accusations against your aunt. You do not have any Shar’i proof that she had done the sihr. To make accusations without conclusive proof is a major sin. Remember, guard yourself against Shaitan and his tricks. Shaitan wishes to break family ties by whispering evil thoughts into man’s heart. Guard yourself against such thoughts and read: أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق Auuzu bi kalimatil laahit taammaati min sharri maa khalaq I seek protection through the complete words of Allah from the evil of what He created لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله Laa hawla wa la quwwata illa billah There is no strength and power except with the assistance of Allah Also recite Surah Al Falaq (#113) and Surah Al Nas (#114) for protection against sihr and evil. One who loses his sanity, whether through sihr (magic) or medical complication, is not held responsible for sins committed as such a person is excused in Shariah.[1] However, in your case, you are probably emotionally disturbed and not insane. You have the mental faculty to reason and exercise restrain. You should seek forgiveness for your shortcomings.
