Answer :
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. The Hadīth in reference is as follows: وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَتْبَعُ الدَّجَّالَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا عَلَيْهِمُ السِّيجَانُ (مشكاة المصابيح، رقم الحديث 5490) Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī Radhiyallāhu Anhu narrates that Rasūlullāh Ṣallallāhu Alaihi Wa Sallam said, “Seventy thousand from my Ummah (nation) who will be wearing a Sījān (green shawl) will follow dajjāl. (Mishkāt al-Maṣābīḥ, Hadīth No. 5490) This Hadīth also appears in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim and Musnad Aḥmad with slight variations in the wordings. The seventy thousand people referred to in the Ḥadīth will be the yahūd from a place called Aṣbahān. This is clearly mentioned in the Ḥadīth of Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim which is as follows: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «يَتْبَعُ الدَّجَّالَ مِنْ يَهُودِ أَصْبَهَانَ، سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا عَلَيْهِمُ الطَّيَالِسَةُ» (صحيح مسلم، رقم الحديث 2944) Rasūlullāh Ṣallallāhu Alaihi Wa Sallam is reported to have said, “Seventy thousand yahūd from Aṣbahān will follow dajjāl. They will be wearing shawls.” (Ṣaḥiḥ Muslim, Ḥadīth No. 2944) The word Sījān refers to green shawls as is mentioned by Mullā Ali al-Qārī Rahimahullāh in his commentary on Mishkāt al-Maṣābīḥ. The word Ummah in the Ḥadīth from Mishkāt al-Maṣābīḥ refers to Ummah al-Dʿawah, those to whom the message of Islām was presented. The Muslims are known as Ummah al-Ijābah, those who have accepted the Dʿawah and message of Islām. Those who follow the dictates of Sharīʿah, the commands of Allāh Taʿālā, and the blessed ways of Rasūlulāh Ṣallallāhu Alaihi Wa Sallam will be saved from the trials and tribulations of dajjāl.
