Question Summary:
Questions about the wudu being invalid during Eid salah, Tawaf and while making sa’ee

Question Detail:

 
1. If a person is travelling and he reaches a place in the middle of journey and EID namaz is goin on , he starts praying in jamah along with them, then he realizes during namaz that during his journey he passed a gas or saw sumthg bad whiich nullified his wudhu .  SO will his namaz  be accepted ? , if not then what shall he do..?
2. IF a person tourches his pubic hair, for scratching will his wudhu will break ?
3.  Is it mandatory to be in WUDHU while doing TAWWAF or while doing safa marwa ?

Answer :

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
1. If a person realizes during Eid salah that he does not have wudhu then he should immediately go and make tayammum so as to catch the Eid salah if he fears that making wudhu will cause him to miss the Eid salah. It is a sin to continue praying without wudhu. Such a salah is not acceptable and would need to be repeated, but for Eid salah there is no qada (make up prayer). [i]
 
2. No, wudhu does not break from scratching the pubic hair, as long as nothing else happens that nullifies the wudhu. However if one touches the private part it is recommended to wash one's hand [ii]
 
3. Wudhu is wajib for tawaf. If a person performed tawaf without wudhu, he will either give damm or sadaqah depending on the nature of the tawaf. The tawaf performed without wudhu will then be deemed correct and acceptable by the giving of the damm or the sadaqah. Wudhu is not required for the saee' (going back and forth on Safa and Marwa).
