Question Summary:
I have a skin disorder on my face and can’t use water. How can I complete my wudhū?

Question Detail:

I have a skin disorder on my face. The skin on my face peels off quite often especially when sweating and applying water. I am seeing a dermatologist regarding this.
I cannot use anything on my face except for a little amount of oil to keep it moist. How can I complete my wudhū since using water on my face makes my skin peel?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

If both warm and cold water are harmful for your face then you should make masah (wipe) over your face with a wet hand.
If even making masah on the face is harmful, then you may leave out the face and complete the rest of your wudhū. Your wudhū will be considered complete and you may then perform any act of worship which requires wudhū.
When your wudhū breaks and you want to do wudhū again, you will just repeat the same procedure as above.
When the treatment prescribed by your dermatologist begins to take effect, you must go back to using water for your face. [i] [ii]

وأقره المصنف ( تيمم لو ) كان ( أكثره ) أي أكثر أعضاء الوضوء عددا وفي الغسل [i]
 مساحة ( مجروحا ) أو به جدري اعتبارا للأكثر ( وبعكسه يغسل ) الصحيح ويمسح الجريح ( و ) كذا ( إن استويا غسل الصحيح ) من أعضاء الوضوء
رد المحتار كتاب الطهارة، باب التيمم: ١ /٤٢٩-٤٣٠ دار الكتب العلمية
 
قوله : ولو أكثره مجروحا تيمم وبعكسه يغسل ) أي لو كان أكثر أعضاء الوضوء ) [ii]
 منه مجروحا في الحدث الأصغر أو أكثر جميع بدنه في الحدث الأكبر تيمم ، وإذا كان الصحيح أكثر من المجروح يغسل ؛ لأن للأكثر حكم الكل ويمسح على الجراحة إن لم يضره ، وإلا فعلى الخرقة ، وقد اختلف في حد الكثرة منهم من اعتبر من حيث عدد الأعضاء ، ومنهم من اعتبر الكثرة في نفس كل عضو ، فلو كان برأسه ووجهه ويديه جراحة والرجل لا جراحة بها يتيمم سواء كان الأكثر من أعضاء الجراحة جريحا أو صحيحا والآخرون قالوا إن كان الأكثر من كل عضو من أعضاء الوضوء المذكورة جريحا فهو الكثير الذي يجوز معه التيمم ، وإلا فلا كذا في فتح القدير من غير ترجيح ، وفي الحقائق المختار اعتبار الكثرة من حيث عدد الأعضاء ولا يخفى أن الخلاف إنما هو في الوضوء
