In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

We are living in an era where many deviated sects have established their own mosques and centres and propagate their corrupt beliefs. A Muslim must guard his Imaan and his correct beliefs. A person can be easily misled by exposing himself to corrupt beliefs. The issue is not only about going to perform salaah in any mosque. It is important to attend a mosque that is run by Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamaa’ah and strictly adhering to Shari’ah and sunnah. It may be challenging for the layman to determine who is on the correct path and who is deviated. It is therefore advisable to enquire from your ‘ulamaa and pious people who are known to practice on taqwa and sunnah about such places. In the enquired situation, if the banner states no Wahhabbis allowed, generally, the Barelvi sect refer to people affiliated to Deoband as Wahhaabbis. If that is the reality, then we advise you against going to such a mosque as you may be misled into the corrupt Barelvi beliefs and practices.
