Answer :
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. Actually, the Muqtadi (follower) should not recite behind the Imām in Ṣalāh, whether it is a Ṣalāh in which the Qirāt is recited loudly or softly. To recite behind the Imām in Ṣalāh is prohibited (Makrūh Taḥrīmī). Nevertheless, your Ṣalāh was valid. And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best Abdul Azīm bin Abdur Rahman, Student Darul Iftaa U.S.A.
