Question Summary:
My mother doesnt trust me when im out with friends, how should i handle this?

Question Detail:

So I would like to get your opinion on an issue that I have with my mother. Whenever I am with my friends and get back abit late in the evening, she gets mad with me! She thinks I’m with a guy and committing evil actions. I told her many times I’m not doing anything wrong, but she doesn’t want to trust me. How should I handle this problem?

Answer :

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
You are fortunate that you have a mother that is concerned about you. Identify an orphan without a mother and ask her of her life without a mother. When you hear the pain in her heart for the yearning of the love and care of a mother, then you will realize the bounty you are experiencing.
Your mother loves you and wants the best for you. She wishes to protect you from any harm and danger. As a girl, she is concerned about your respect and chastity.
We are living in a world of Fitna and it takes seconds before one realizes and witnesses huge problems in one’s life. You are young and have not lived it all to see and witness such experiences. Your heart is young and cannot understand the deep concern in the mature heart and mind of your mother.
You simply should listen and obey your mother. That is also a divine order of Allah. Don’t expect her to listen to you, you should listen to her. You should trust in her love for you and her maturity. Do not expect her mature mind and heart to let you do as you please. She loves you, cares for you, and mean well for you. Appreciate that and listen to her.
And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
