I am a Software Engineer,I do Software testing for applications. I work for a reputed Indian Software Company, they work for a Client called 'Charles Schwab' . This is an investment Company, they also have various branches which also include a Bank.   Kindly let me know if i can work for this client 'Charles Schwab' . If i have to leave this client, i have to leave the company.

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh
Considering the fact that your work consists of only testing of software applications used by Charles Schwab and that your workit has no direct relation or connection to the impermissible Riba-based transactions carried out by the company, it will be permissible for you to continue your employment with the firm. (Kifaya al-Mufti, vol. 7 pg. 342 / Fatawa Mahmoodiya, vol. 17, pg. 110, Jamia Farooqiya)
وعلى هذا يخرج الاستئجار على المعاصي أنه لا يصح لأنه استئجار على منفعة غير مقدورة الاستيفاء شرعا كاستئجار الإنسان للعب واللهو ، وكاستئجار المغنية ، والنائحة للغناء ، والنوح بخلاف الاستئجار لكتابة الغناء والنوح أنه جائز ؛ لأن الممنوع عنه نفس الغناء (بدائع الصنائع )
