1. How is will divided between wife and sons if a person dies without leaving it.
2. Does a person have to recite Bismillah Allahu Akbar before shooting a deer?
3. Why are steroids haram as they are not intoxicants?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
 
As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhiwa-barakātuh.
 
1.      When a person passes away, his estate will be used to pay the costs of the funeral and burial. After this, all loans and debts will be paid. The remainder will be split into 8 portions if the deceased is survived only by a wife and sons. The wife will get 1/8^th and the sons will equally distribute the remaining 7/8^th amongst themselves. If the deceased was survived by parents or grandparents, the division of the estate will be calculated differently.
 
2.      A person who is hunting deer is required to verbally recite at least ‘Bismillah’ before firing each bullet.[i][ii]
 
3.      In principle, anything that causes harm to ones’ health is prohibited. If steroids are taken for medical purposes under the supervision of a doctor or a trained expert, then one will be excused for using steroids.
 
There are innumerable harms attributed to steroid abuse such as cancer, heart attacks, strokes, kidney disease, impotence and eye infections.
