In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh It is not permissible to consume the flesh and milk of those animals and birds that hunt their prey (carnivores and omnivores). It is permissible to consume the flesh of animals that feed on plants as long as they are slaughtered according to the teachings of Islam. It will not be permissible to consume the flesh of any animal that has not been slaughtered according to the teachings of Islam. It is permissible to consume all types of fish, unless they die naturally in water and float on the surface of the water. It will not be permissible to consume those sea creatures that are not categorised as fish. It is not permissible to consume the flesh of snakes, rodents, worms or insects. It is not permissible to consume the flesh or milk of a donkey or a mule. It is permissible to consume all types of fruits and vegetables as long as they do not fall under the category of intoxicants. And Allah knows best Wassalam Ml. Abu Yahya,
