Having intimate relationship during menses.

Question Detail:

AoA,
Even though I knew that it is Haraam to perform sexual intercourse with my wife during her menses however the urge was too strong and we ended up having the intercourse.
We both want to repent on it- please suggest if we are supposed to offer any Kuffara or is there something else that we need to do?

Answer :

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is a sign of your Iman that you have realized your mistake and that you are willing to compensate for it. It is a great sin to have intimate relationship during menses. However, there is no kaffarah in having intimacy during menses. It is required that you make sincere Taubah and ask forgiveness from Allah and make a firm intention of never committing this sin again.
