Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh
It is permissible to give a copy of the Quran to a non-Muslim if one honestly feels the non-Muslim will respect the Quran. When giving the Quran to a non-Muslim, advise him on the respect of the Quran.
