????? ????? ????????? ?????? I'm writing to you to get confirmation on an sms that was sent 2 me by my husband. He smsed " I gve u talaak talaak talaak." Is the talaak valid. Everyone has different opinions about whether talaak through sms is valid. He did it out of anger. And also we have a 2 month old daughter. Now he wants us back but I can't go back Could you please confirm if it is valid. Shukran

As-salāmu `alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
 
In principle, divorce issued with the express words meaning Talaaq, such as: “You are divorced” or “I have divorced you”, is valid irrespective of the intention.[1]Furthermore, Talaaq issued in the state of anger is valid.[2]
 
1. The statement: “I give u talaaq talaaq talaaq”, constitutes Talaaq–e-Mughallazah, which refers to a permanently irrevocable divorce,[3] the implication thereof being, that you cannot continue living together as husband and wife.
 
2.  The Talaaq (divorce) issued via an electronic medium in the above mentioned scenario is valid if it is issued and sent from the husband.[4]
