We commend your concern for earning a halal income.

If the job requires you to develop such software which can be used for a permissible or impermissible purpose, then taking that job will be permissible.  The onus of using the software in an impermissible way rests upon the person that uses it.

If the job requires you to develop such software which can only be used for an impermissible purpose, then taking that job will be impermissible as this will entail assisting another in sin.[1]

وكذا الحكم في برمجة الحاسب الآلي (الكمبيوتر) لبنك ربوي، فان قصد بذلك الإعانة أو كان البرنامج مشتملة على ما لا يصلح الا في الأعمال الربوية أو الاعمال محمرمة الأخرى فان العقد حرام باطل. أما اذا لم يقصد الإعانة وليس فالبرنامج ما يتمحض للاعمال المحرمة صح العقد وكره تنزيهاً.
