Question Summary:
Is it permissible to ask a Kafir to pray for you?

Question Detail:

Is it permissible to ask a non believer to pay for you as a Muslim, also what do you do if a non believer asks you to pray for them, do we?

Answer :

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

A non-believer does not believe in Allah and if he does, his beliefs are incorrect. Allah Ta’āla says:
“But the prayer of those without Faith is nothing but (futile wandering) in (mazes of) error!” [Surah Ghafir, verse 50]
It is not permissible to ask a non-believer to pray for you.
It is permissible to make dua of Hidayah and well-being for non-Muslims [1].
