Question Summary: I’m having menses for the third time this month? Is it considered as haidh? Question Detail:
I know this question has been asked and answered, still I feel My situation is a bit different. For the 3rd time this month my men's have started. Initially after the first time my men's started, it lasted for 6 days. I became cleaned and continued my life, 5 days later it started again, this time after reading other Hadiths and fawas, I continued to pray, this time it lasted for another 6 days. Now again after 5 days it has restarted, I am confused as whether to continue to pray or not. While I wait for your answer I will continue to pray and allah accepts that.
Answer :
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. In principle, the minimum days for haidh/menses cycle is three days whilst the maximum is ten days. Also, the minimum days for tuhr—days of cleanliness— between two menses is fifteen days. There is no maximum amount of days for tuhr between two menses.[1] According to your situation as explained by yourself, you experienced six days of bleeding in the beginning of the month, then you remained clean for the next five days, which followed with another six days of bleeding, and then again you remained clean for five days. Thereafter, right unto your current situation, your bleeding has resumed. In order for us to analyze your situation and advise you, inform us of the following:
Is this the first time you are experiencing menses?
If not, then what was your previous cycle? How many days did you used to have menses for on a monthly basis?
