Answer :
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Shari’ah recognises expressing happiness upon having a baby. The practise of aqeeqah, slaughtering of an animal is precisely to express ones happiness and gratitude to Allah Taala.1
The aqeeqah ends upon the slaughtering of an animal. However, it is permissible to invite friends and family and feed them on this joyous occasion on condition,
One does not regard the feeding as compulsory or following a custom,
There are no violations of Shariah.2
