Salaams 
I am a revert of 15 years Allhamdulillah.
My question is my husband is Hanafi and I have followed the same really because I didn't no any difference.
My question is indulgently have recently started looking into Maliki jurispondent jurispondent and I'm not saying I want to change but I've never known about any other. Is it possible for me to be under Hanafi but give bait to a Maliki 
I have the change to be bait to a shaykh who is linege to our beloved Muhammad SAW it am really feeling this will benefit me. can I do this. is this.

Answer :

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Your question is not too clear. However, you refer to two issues, Fiqh and Bay`ah.
In fiqh, you have adopted the Hanafi school of thought like your husband. You should   adhere to the Hanafi school of thought in all practices of worship. You should not look into the Maliki jurisprudence (Fiqh) as that attitude will confuse you.
If you wish to seek a spiritual assistance through a Maliki Shaykh and take bay’ah on him, then that is permissible in spite of you being an adherent of the Hanafi school of thought in fiqh.
A spiritual guide should have the following qualities,
a.) He strictly adheres to the Sunnah.
b.) He stays away from bi'dah (innovations).
c.) Has been given permission by his own Shaykh to accept murids (students in the path of Tassawuf)
If a person has the above qualities and then that is indeed commendable. If one does not have the above qualities, then merely being from the lineage of our beloved prophet will not be beneficial.
