In the name of Allāh, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Assalāmu ῾alaykum wa Rahmatullāhi Wabarakātuh At the outset, obligatory charity (e.g. a person takes a vow etc.) can only be given to the poor and needy, 1 as for optional charity (nafly sadaqah) can be given to a rich or poor person.2 Now when the charity is given to a rightful person and thereafter he invites you, then you may partake from that meat. it will be permissible for you to eat whether it was given as obligatory or optional sadaqah.[1] (Ap ke Masā’il or Unkā Hal, Vol.3, Pg.425, Maktabah Bayyinat)1 (Fatāwa Rahimiyyah, Vol.7, Pg.202, Dārul Isha῾at)2 And Allāh Ta῾āla Knows Best
Wassalāmu ῾alaykum Ml. Abduz Zaman,
