I am engaged to a guy who is good looking, good character, namaazi and good family except mother in law is a bit cheeky. I was very happy and I do like the guy, but I don’t know why I feel, I know it sounds shallow but he's middle class and is not so popular in society. I feel like I could maybe find a better guy, and everyone tells me I can’t believe you said yes to the guy you could do so much better. Please help I know islamically, name and fame and wealth is of no importance but why can’t I convince myself to ignore these thoughts and be happy I found a good guy! Please I need help we getting married in a month’s time...

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
If you have considered the proposal positively and followed all the necessary steps in accepting the proposal, for example, you consulted with your parents, and you made istikhārah, and you accepted the proposal, now place your trust in Allah Ta’āla and proceed.
Do not heed to the comments of people. You have to live your life with the person and not your friends. It is better to live a life with a pious person who is not popular than to live with an impious person who is popular. The reason is clear. We deal with marital problems of the rich and popular very often.
