Electric racquet to kill insects

Question Detail:

There is an outbreak of mosquitoes in our area. Spraying them does not seem to work. We have been advised to use an Electric racquet to kill them. Is this permissible? 

Answer :

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to use an electric racquet to kill insects.
