One of my cousin sister is married for 5+ years & she has no child yet. She asked me below questions. can you please answer them. 1) she heard from somewhere that consistent tilawat of Suarh tahrim is benefcial in expecting a child? is t true? 2) Please suggest some zikr, Dua, wazifa or tilawat which is khaas for asking child to allah?
Answer :
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. (1) We were unable to locate such a virtue for reading Sūrah Tahrīm. However, in general one should always read the Qur’ān and make du`ā’ that Allāh Ta`ālā fulfiles one’s needs as Allāh Ta`ālā says in the Holy Qur’ān: قُلْ هُوَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا هُدًى وَشِفَاءٌ Say, "It (the Qur’ān) is, for those who believe, guidance and a cure."[1] 2) The following should aid you in making du`ā for a child: a) Recite the following verse of the Qur’ān frequently:[2] رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.
