Please enumerate details intention to take before slaughtering your ram. Also if you are the one slaughtering for your wife what intention will you recite.

Answer :

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Intention (niyah) is an act of the heart. When one intents to slaughter an animal for udhiyyah, the intention to do so from the heart is sufficient. It is not necessary to say the intention verbally. When slaughtering the e animal on behalf of ones wife make intention in the heart.
 
Before slaughtering the animal, recite the following:
 
وجهت وجهي للذي فطر السموات والأرض على ملة إبراهيم حنيفا وما أنا من المشركين إن صلاتي ونسكي ومحياي ومماتي لله رب العالمين لا شريك له وبذلك أمرت وأنا من المسلمين اللهم منك ولك
 
Transliteration:
 
Wajahtu wajhiya lillazi fatara samawati walard. Ala millati Ibrahima hanifan. Wa ma ana minal mushrikin. Inna salati wa nusuki wa mahyaya wa mamati lilllahi rabbil alamin la sharika lahu wa bizalika umirtu wa ana minal muslimin Allahumma haza minka wa laka.
 
Translation:
 
O Allah this sacrifice is to You granting us the ability to do so and it is for You. My Salaah, my Ibadat and my living and dying is all for Allah, who is the Lord of the worlds, and who has no partner. This is what i have been ordered. And I am amongst the Muslimeen.
 
When slaughtering the animal recite:
 
باسم الله والله أكبر
 
Bismillah Wallahu Akbar
 
After slaughtering the animal recite:
 
اللهم تقبل مني كما تقبلت من حبيبك محمد و خليلك ابراهيم عليهم السلام
 
Transliteration:
 
Allahumma taqabbal minni kama taqabalta min habibika Muhammad wa Khalililka Ibramin aleihim salam.
 
Translation:
 
O Allah accept from me as You accepted from Habib Muhammad and Khalil Ibrahim, peace upon them.
