My earnings are halaal while my father's earnings is doubtful. Therefore i told my dad that anything our family eats the cost of that will be borne by me. Earlier i used to hand me cash to strictly use it for food purchases but the problem was it was getting mixed with doubtful earnings. Anyways i came up with another way.
I used to give him a cheque in the beginning of the month which he would deposit in his account involved with the doubtful earnings. Now he brings money from his account and purchases all the stuff of the house shampoos, food and etc. What i do is that at the end of every day i ask him what food item did you buy and their cost.
I keep a record in excel sheet of every day of the food item he buys and settle it with the amount which i gave him.For e.g i gave him rs.25,000 and on day 1 he bought rs.1300 chicken i settle the Rs.25000 with rs.1300 so that i know when the money i gave him finishes so that i can give him another cheque for our food. but the problem is that the food he brings home is from his doubtful earnings.
My earning i give him he deposits in his bank. The food i consume is halaal or haraam?.. i think it can be like i have paid him the money now he purchases food on his own and bring it home for our family.

Why do you believe your father’s income is doubtful? Why do you believe your income is beyond being doubtful?
Nevertheless, if you gave your father money to purchase the groceries and he bought it with his money, it will be assumed that the groceries are bought from your money.[1]
