Question Summary:
Covering the hair that comes on the forehead when wearing a kufi/topi

Question Detail:

Assalaamu Alaykum

Answer :

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

A topi is a covering for the head[1]. Hence, it should cover most of the hair on the head. There is no religious restriction if some hair is apparent from the front or back. However, one should don the topi in a presentable manner.

You may refer to “The Crown of a Believer” by my honorable teacher, Mufti Husain Kadodia (Hafizahullaah) for details on the topi.
