Can I name my son Ashajj?

One of your answer to the below question,i am still confused because you stated that  "Such names are kept to confound the enemies as people do get affected with certain names and their meanings",  and i have found other meaning also that is ONE IN MILLION ,i would like to know your recommendation is it ok to keep the name ASHAZ for my son or not? please reply me in YES or NO and is it a good name?
if yes what would be the spelling in english and urdu ?
 

Answer :

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The correct spelling of the name is أشجّ in Arabic and Urdu. In English it would be spelled Ashajj and it means a wound to the head.
 
The name of the companion mentioned in the hadith was actually Mundhir (radiyallahu anhu). His laqab (nickname) was Ashajj. [i] [ii] [iii]
 
The righteous khalifa, Umar ibn Abdul Aziz (rahmatullahi alayhi) also had the laqab of Ashajj because of a wound he had on his forehead. [iv]
 
Since the name 'Ashajj' has been used as a laqab and not as a real name it would be better to name your son another name. An alternative solution would be to name him Mundhir after the companion or Umar after the righteous khalifa and as a laqab call him Ashajj.
