Can I make Duaa for a specific girl

Assalamu alaikum
I am a recruitment consultant and came across a muslima candidate. while talking to her i got impressed by her deen and her views and ideals, she felt the same.As i started to develop affection for her purely based on her character and deen, I did istikhara twice and felt overwhelmingly confident about proposing her for nikaah.She too agreed but said will consult parents and they will take the call.I had an issue in the past, I was married 15 years ago in an ijtemah to a madrasa going girl, but unfortunately it lasted only 15 days due to some issue with the girl. i disclosed this tot he girl's family, they are happy about everything else but just this incident 15 yrs ago.They said we need time to think about it.
My question is can I pray to Allah swt to ease the path to make that girl my half of deen.Since I am so impressed by her character and deen and so confident that she is the one for me. Is it permissible to pray to Allah swt for this specific girl.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
 
At the outset, we wish to point out that it is prohibited to be in contact with the girl in reference as both of you are Ghair Mahram ( not Haram in marriage) to each other. You may make Du’aa to Allah to make that girl your wife if she is good for you according to the perfect knowledge of Allah. We also advise to strengthen your Imaan on Taqdeer. Whatever happens, acceptance or otherwise, is the will of Allah in which there is goodness.
