In the name of Allāh, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalāmu ῾alaykum wa Rahmatullāhi Wabarakātuh

We lament the demise of your father and make du’a that Allāh Ta’āla elevates his status in the Hereafter and grant you all patience, Amīn. Our prayers are with you and your family. We wish to inform you that your father has attained martyrdom, the reward of which is Jannah (paradise). Rasulullāh (Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) has stated:
المبطون شهيد والمطعون شهيد
‘The one that passes away due to a stomach sickness or plague has passed away as a martyr”
(Sahih Bukhāri, Chapter on Plagues)

It is established in Ahādīth that our actions are presented to Allāh Ta’āla, Rasulullāh (Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and our deceased families and friends. In Surah Taubah, Allāh Ta’āla states:

وقل اعملوا فسيرى الله عملكم ورسوله والمؤمنون
“Say, ―Do (what you do); Allah will see your deed, as will the Messenger and the believers”
(Surah Taubah, 105)

Hereunder are Ahādīth to substantiate the above:

1.      Presentation of actions to Allāh Ta’āla:

“Rasulullāh (Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: The actions of man are presented before Allah Ta’āla twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays”
(Sahih Muslim, #6493)[1]

2. Presentation of actions to Rasulullāh (Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam):

“Rasulullāh (Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: My demise is good for you, as your deeds will be presented to me. When I will see the good deeds (of my followers), I will praise Allah Ta’āla and when I see the bad, I will seek forgiveness on your behalf”
(Majma’ Al-Zawāid, Chapter on the demise of the Prophet, vol. 4, pg. 24, Maktaba Al-Qudsi)[2]

The great Tabi’ī, Sa’īd bin Musayyib said:

‘The actions of my followers are presented daily to Rasulullāh (Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam)’
(Fath Al-Bāri, Chapter of crying during recitation of Qurān, #5055, vol. 9, pg. 122, Qadīmī)[3]

3. Presentation of actions to deceased families and friends:

“Rasulullāh (Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: Indeed your actions are presented before your deceased relatives and families. If your actions are good, they rejoice and if they are bad, they say: Oh Allah! Do not take their lives until you guide them, as you guided us”
(Musnad Ahmad, Hadith of Anas, vol. 3, pg. 165)[4]

It is authentically recorded from Mujāhid that he said:
“Indeed a man rejoices in his grave with the good of his son after his demise”
(Kitāb Al-Rūh, pg. 18, Dār Al-Da’wah)[5]

We hope that the above is sufficient.

And Allāh Ta῾āla Knows Best
Wassalāmu ῾alaykum
