Begging in the name of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa sallam.

Question Detail:

Aslam o alaikum,
I have two questions and I hope I get a response this time.
1. Is it okay to give to the beggars who ask you to give money for the sake of Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam)? They say something like, "Rasool(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ka wasta, pyare nabi(sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ka wasta and so on.."
2. Does it make you a sinner or bad person if they ask you for some money and you don't have spare change and you just ignore them completely ? or don't help them?

Answer :

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

1. If one responds positively to the plea of a beggar through the means of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa sallam, that will be an expression of love and respect for Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa sallam
2. If one does not have anything to offer a beggar, he will not be sinful.¹ Do ensure never to rebuke a beggar.²
