In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
The goods received by this individual have been gained through lies and deception. The acts of lying and deceiving are qualities which are totally inconsistent to the lifestyle of a Muslim. Nabi salallāhu ῾alayhi wasallam is reported to have said, مَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا “Whoever deceives us, he is not from amongst us.” (Sahīh Muslim Vol. 1 Pg. 99, Dārul Ahyā’ Aturāth Al ‘arabī The goods that he has acquired should be returned to the owner.
