Question Summary: 1. Do I have to include in my Zakaat wealth the money that I have deposited in an investment? Question Detail:
1. I have signed an offer to purchase a flat, which is still been built, I.E. “off plan’. The agreement states that i should arrange my finance now, or the deal will be cancelled. The money will only become payable on the date of occupation. I have applied to Albaraka Bank for the finance, which they have approved. The bank now wants the deposit amount (i stated that I will pay R300 000), they say that I will get a profit for the months that they have my deposit, but I will not have access to the funds. My question is whether I need to include this R300 000 under my Zakaatable wealth? I usually calculate my Zakaah on 1st Ramadaan. 2. Does the use of suppository for piles break the Wudhu? / fast?
Answer :
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. 1. One should include his deposited amount in his Zakaatble wealth.[1] 2. The usage of suppository does not break Wudhu. However if any impure water comes out then Wudhu will break.[2]The usage of suppository does break the fast and Qadha becomes compulsory.
