Does kissing ones wife while fasting invalidate the fast?

Question Detail:

 
During Fasting in the month of Ramadaan, I got intimidated with my wife and kissed passionately. But we didn't had sex  and neither of us ejaculated.
Does this effect our fast and for this do we need to offer Qadha.
Kindly advise.

Answer :

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh
 
In principle, one’s fast will not be invalidated by kissing one’s wife. However, the fast will be invalidated if one swallowed the saliva of another.[1]
