Ruling on working in Airline Company Airlines serves which sells Alcohol to customers

Question Detail:

 
 Airline Company has many divisions subsidiaries (Aircraft Catering, International Airport, Airways Holidays, Duty Free, Aviation Services, Distribution Company, and  Executive Lounge) and serves/ sells Alcohol to passengers in Aircraft, Aircraft Catering, International Airport, Duty-free Outlet, Executive lounge and Airways Holidays divisions. Airline Distribution Company distributes Sells Alcohol to customers, Hotels and restaurants.;
Would like to seek guidance ruling on working in Airline Company in light of Quran and Hadith;" Whether the person can work in Information Technology (IT) division of Airline Company ( The person will directly not involved but its job services will be benefited by all the above division and the salary will be also part of the Income from above sources)."

Answer :

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
At the outset, we commend you for your sensitivity on earning halal and abstaining from haram. It is this attitude that brings Barakah (blessings) in one’s earnings.
You are working in the It department. Your job does not entail any direct dealings with the selling and serving of alcohol. It does not fall under the prohibition of the Hadith[1] since this is not involvement in the actual impermissible transactions and dealings. Hence working in the IT division of Airline Company is permissible.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah has cursed wine, its drinker, its server, its seller, its buyer, its presser, the one for whom it is pressed, the one who conveys it, and the one to whom it is conveyed Sunan Abi Dawud 3674
