Question Summary:
I gave interest money as sadaqah to my relatives. May I accept daawats from them?

Question Detail:

we have some close relatives (wife's sister) whom we give regularly zakat and also some money acrued from interest in savings bank, knowing well that we should not get any duas/ benfit in this duniya and akhira for such kind of help. my question is can we accept their invitation for any meals in their house.

Answer :

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
To accept an invite is a sunnah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam and a right of a fellow Muslim. Accepting an invite will not be regarded as a benefit in exchange for a favor rendered.^[1] Therefore, it it will be permissible for you attend a meal given by your relatives.^[2]
