Question Summary: People are telling me I am not dedicated to my Deen, I don’t feel that this is true. Question Detail:
My younger brother has been slandering me to some people, saying things like I'm not dedicated to my deen and that I'm not motivated to become a better Muslim. I don't feel that this is true but I don't know what to do, should I confront him about it or not?
Answer :
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh. You should appreciate your brother’s concern for your Deen. He is not after your money or after any ego. His concern is your Deen. Thank him and approach him regarding how you could better yourself. Hear him out and if there is merit in what he says, adjust yourself and become a better Muslim. Also, keep in touch with an Alim or spiritual guide to better yourself.
