Answer :
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhiwa-barakātuh.
In principle, it is permissible for one to sit and eat on a table. However, we should try to emulate the Prophet sallallahualaihiwasallam as much as possible and it has been narrated that he never dined at a table.
