Assalāmu ῾alaykum wa Rahmatullāhi Wabarakātuh Qira'at (recitation) of Surah al Fatiha with another Surah is Wajib (compulsory) in every Rakat in Nafl (optional) prayer as well as the Witr Salaah.[1] (Tahtawi ála Maraqi ul Falah Pg248) (Behishti Zewar vol.1 pg 184 Zam Zam) And Allāh Ta῾āla Knows Best Wassalāmu ῾alaykum
