I listen to a Islamic lesson through a radio few days ago..and it made me confuse. They say that there is no narration which mention that a woman in mensturation cannot read quran or cannot enter the masjid. They also said that there is no hadith saying that woman cannot cut her hair and nail during period.
Please give us some reference from hadith of Nabi and Qur'an in regard to this..

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh One of the great ills in the Muslim ummah is that people have become extremely lenient in the matters of deen. When the masses aloof themselves from the Ulama, they become vulnerable to accept Deen from any source without endeavouring to determine the authenticity of that source. In light of this, we admire your concern of verifying the truth of what was said. May Allah increase your zeal. Ameen At the outset you should realise that we follow one of the Aimmah Mujtahideen (viz Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Malik, Imam Shafi and Imam Ahmad) in all matters of jurisprudence. In our case, we have placed our conviction on the School of thought of Imam Abu Hanifa. The underlying reason for this is that coupled with his piety and sincerity, Imam Abu Hanifa devoted his life in attaining and codifying Islamic knowledge. This was in the glorious period when knowledge was at its pinnacle, memories were strong, Ulama were many and scholarly gatherings abounded. It was generally in this era that authentic Ahadith flourished and the Scholars immersed into the depths of every narration. Every action that was practiced had to be based on concrete proofs derived from any of the Islamic sources. Thus, Imam Abu Hanifa used to discuss every ruling with at least forty Scholars who were each masters in different fields of Islamic knowledge.
