Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh
True and reliable Amils are recognizable and may be distinguished through the signs of Taqwa and piety in them. They are committed to Allah and abstain from breaking any of his commands. They are humble and are not motivated by worldly things. Their objective is to assist those affected and grant them relief from their difficulties. They always remind their patients of Allah and turn their attention towards him. They do not regard their work as a business but consider it as a pure service to the Ummah.
Those who advertise their services and claim to cure any problem or difficulty are mainly insincere and regard their service as an enrichment scheme. In a situation of doubt regarding the reliability of a person, consult with appropriate people and Ulama who know the particular individual.
