Assalamualaikum
Answer :
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
We make dua that Allah grants you a healthy child.
It is stated in the following hadith,
Translation: Surely you will be called on the Day of Judgment according to your names and your fathers’ names. Therefore beautify your names. (Sunan Abu Dawoud, #4948)
It is understood from the above quoted hadith that we are encouraged to give good and meaningful names to our children. It is mustahab (encouraged) for one to keep names of the Prophets, the names of the companions, and the pious predecessors.[2]
