Answer :

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

We make dua that Allah grants you a healthy child. We also make dua that Allah guides you to a suitable name for your child. Aameen.

Islam emphasizes that Muslims should have good names and give good names to their children.

It is the infant's vested right to be honoured with a good name. When choosing a name for the child, it should be done with the intention that the child will be blessed with the barakah of that name. ^[1]

Consider the following hadeeth:

إِنَّكُمْ تُدْعَوْنَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِأَسْمَائِكُمْ وَأَسْمَاءِ آبَائِكُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا أَسْمَاءَكُمْ

Translation: On the Day of Resurrection, you will be called by your names and by your father's names, so give yourselves good names.

(Sunan-Abu Dawood, Kitaabul Adab)

Hereunder are the names with their meanings:

Ameerah/ أميرة: Means Princess. ^[2]

Arhaan: Arhaan is not an Arabic name. You may keep the name Raihaan/ريحان, which means a flower or sweet basil. ^[3]

The name of a person has an effect on the individual’s personality and his/her characteristics. Therefore, we advise you to adopt the names of the companions (Sahabaah/Sahabiyyaah) of Nabi (ﷺ).
