Question Summary: Will divorce occur by writing the reason for divorce? Question Detail:
I got married recently since I suffer from Erectile dysfunction and I felt very guilty that I didn't see doctor before marriage to proceed with marriage or not I send my wife home then from that time am thinking how do I make tauba for the trauma depression caused by me to her family Note I only send her home I didn't even utter divorce or intent As initiative I thought to create a fresh bio data for her ... So I started by writing reason for divorce : - husband being impotent . Then followed by her details with mine... Even while I was writing the only intent I had is in future if needed when my wife will ask for divorce then along with divorce I will hand over these bio data... Plus money loss etc back Just by writing reason for divorce...... Does divorce take place or not Currently am trying to take cure for my sickness .
Answer :
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Muhtaram Brother,
May Almighty Allah grant you complete shifa and alleviate you from the predicament you are faced with. Aameen.
Writing down the reasons for issuing divorce in the future does not constitute a divorce. Therefore, your nikaah is intact. [1]
