Is making and gifting g diaper cake halaal / permissable in Islam. Isn't it like imitating non Muslim ritual/ customs/ tradition?

As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

A diaper cake is an arrangement of diapers and/or other accessories for a newborn baby made to resemble a traditional tiered cake. A diaper cake is generally gifted before or after the birth of the child.

The diaper cake does not have any religious background.

It is permissible to make and gift diaper cakes^[1].

And Allaah Ta’aala Knows Best.

وهي أمر مندوب وصنع محمود محبوب قال صلى الله تعالى عليه وسلم { تهادوا تحابوا } وقبولها سنة ، { فإنه عليه الصلاة والسلام قبل هدية العبد } وقال { في حديث بريرة : هو لها صدقة ولنا هدية } ، وقال عليه السلام : { لو أهدي إلي طعام لقبلت ، ولو دعيت إلى كراع لأجبت } ، وإليها أي الإجابة الإشارة بقوله تعالى { فإن طبن لكم عن شيء منه نفسا فكلوه هنيئا } أي مسرورا مريئا أي راضيا على الأكل وهي نوعان تمليك وإسقاط ، وعليهما الإجماع كما في الاختيار ، وسببها إرادة الخير للواهب دنيوي كالعوض وحسن الثناء والمحبة من الموهوب له ، وأخروي قال الإمام أبو منصور يجب على المؤمن أن يعلم ولده الجود والإحسان كما يجب عليه أن يعلمه التوحيد والإيمان إذ حب الدنيا رأس كل خطيئة كما في النهاية .
