If I offer 2 rakats and make intention for tahajud will it considered tahajud or do I have to pray 11 rakats?
What if someone cannot go to sleep and makes niyat for tahajud and afterwards prays fajr. Will his tahajud be considered tahajud?
 

Answer :

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhiwa-barakātuh.
The minimum rakats of tahajjud is two. One does not have to read 11 rakats tahajjud. (8 rakats tahajjud and 3 witr)
If one performs Salah before sleeping with the intention of tahajjud, it will be regarded as tahajjud.
